Description

Tickfaw State Park is composed of miles of boardwalks, hardwood forests and the Tickfaw River. This park offers well-known rental cabins with excellent views, a gift shop and rental canoes. There is also a water playground on the property. There are four hiking trails for a mild saunter or a brisk hike. The hiking trails equal about 5 miles in length when combined.

Directions

From New Orleans traveling on I-55, take the Ponchatoula/Springfield exit #26, exiting towards Springfield. Travel West on Hwy 22 until you come to the town of Springfield. At the red light, continue straight across onto Hwy 1037. Travel 6 miles to Patterson Road. Turn left at Patterson, 1 mile until park entrance. From Baton Rouge on I-12, take the Springfield/Albanyexit #32. Travel 2 miles South on Hwy 43, merge left with Hwy 42. Continue 1mile to the red light, turn West (right) on Hwy 1037. Travel 6 miles to Patterson Road. Turn left at Patterson, 1 mile until park entrance. <br /><br />27225 Patterson Road, Springfield, LA
